Meet the Teachers
We are very lucky to have such a great team of dedicated and highly qualified teachers at Duchal. They each bring their own personal attributes to all our activities and they really make our nursery a very special place. With many years of experience in early years, a cosmopolitan background and all with children of their own the team of staff provide a caring, nurturing environment for the children, and make Duchal Nursery an extra special place.
Here’s a little bit of background information on our wonderful teachers!
Head Teacher – Mrs Gheur
Mrs Gheur decided to fulfil a lifelong passion to teach in early years. She holds a post graduate degree in childhood practice SQA level 11 and has gained her HNC in Early Years and Childcare.
She has a love of literacy and enjoys being part of the Duchal nurturing team which she joined in 2016.

After her children attended Duchal Nursery she completed her studies to become an Early Years Practitioner. She has been part of the Duchal staff since 2004 and specialises in musical activities. Mrs Campbell particularly enjoys the buzz from working with pre-school children and seeing their development during their time at Duchal
Mrs Grant

Miss Stewart
Miss Stewart joined us in August 2023 having been former Duchal pupil herself.
I’ve always enjoyed looking after my little sisters and as soon as I started my apprenticeship I knew that childcare was an amazing fit for me as you get to watch and assist in helping little ones grow into kind and loving people!
I knew Duchal would be my ideal setting as a former Duchal pupil I enjoyed my experience so much and I still remember it so clearly, it really is a special place.
Mrs Wylie
Mrs Wylie joined us in January 2021, after graduation with a BA in Business Law and a PG Dip in TESOL she worked at Glasgow University. After becoming a mum she volunteered at school as a parent helper and enjoyed it so much decided to study for a HNC in Childhood Practice.
