Funded Places 2025 Application Pack
As one of Inverclyde Council’s early years providers, Duchal Nursery offers free nursery care for 3 – 5yr olds from 9am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday (1140hrs) during term time. (We do not offer any other model of hours, ie: no full days or part week as part of the funding).
We are open from 8am daily for early drop offs and from 3.00pm – 6pm (5pm on Fridays) for wraparound care for those that require it, hours subject to change depending on demand. This is currently charged at £6.50 per hour.

Please read the guidance notes (see below) and complete all sections of the application form and return to Duchal Nursery by 17th January at the very latest.
Email completed forms to info@duchal.com (or a hard copy direct to the nursery, remember to include supporting documentation).
Please place Duchal Nursery as your number 1 choice and put a 2nd and 3rd option down as a back up option.
Places are in high demand and we are unable to guarantee a place. Please note that applicants resident within Inverclyde will take priority, if places are over subscribed they will be allocated via a ballot process, and will be allocated by Inverclyde Council as per their Admission’s Process as set out below.
PLEASE NOTE: From August 2025 funding will start the term after the child turns 3yrs.
Birth Date: 1st March 2022 - 31st August 2022
Funding Start Date: August 2025 (child must be 3yrs)
Birth Date: 1st September 2022 - 31st December 2022
Funding Start Date: January 2026
Birth Date: 1st January 2023 - 28th February 2023
Funding Start Date: April 2026 (after Easter holidays)
If your child is allocated a place and you wish them to start with us before their funding is in place, once they have turned 3yrs they can pay for a privately paid place - please email info@duchal.com for further information.
